Resumo: |
This work aims to reflect on the meeting between the Museum of History and Arts of the State of Rio de Janeiro, also called the Ingá Museum, with the extension project coordinated by the Research Group "Art, history and museum in process" at the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. The exhibition "Ingajá: interventions in the Ingá Museum" was the result of a research and creation process that involved students, artists, teachers and technicians of the museum, with the presentation of 20 contemporary art interventions for approximately four months. From authors who debate on history museums, house museums, collections, museum education, and contemporary art; and from primary sources of the museum itself and other archives, we debated the creation of the Ingá Museum and its historical typology, the construction and realization of the Ingajá exhibition and finally the frictions, approximations and inspirations resulting from this experience. Considered an action of integral formation of the students-artists-historians, they performed critical re-readings of the collection and the museological narrative, transforming the artistic interventions into spaces of debate on the social markers of difference, where the categories of gender, race, politics and class were illuminated, despite the silences of the museum. It is proposed, from this life experience, the creation of artistic residencies of contemporary art in museums of history, which allow reflections on the historical fractures (of which its colonial foundation is responsible for the existence and perpetuation) and social tensions from a museum-connector, or rather, an engaging museum with the issues of the present time |
