O currículo da formação cultural: parceria universidade e museu

Resumo: There is no policy in Brazil to promote the integration of university curricula with museums. The absence of stimuli to establish links between undergraduate and graduate courses points to a problem from the point of view of curriculum and cultural formation: there are no guidelines or references for university students to approach this field. The premise is that education and culture are inseparably linked. There is a low use of opportunities for cultural formation that can be exploited through the relationship between museums and universities, with a view of professional education of quality for students of Higher Education and the education of qualified audiences for museums. The identification of this problem led to the definition of the research object as the articulation between university and museum. The objective was to examine the theoretical foundations and practical possibilities of the relationship between university and museum. The qualitative methodological approach is employed and, as procedures, documentary analysis, participant observation, interviews and questionnaires are used with young students of Higher Education visiting museums, university professors and museum managers. The theoretical foundation of the study was based on Adorno’s Critical Theory, specifically on his concept of cultural formation and its counterpoint of semi-formation. The results of this thesis show possibilities of articulation between university and museum, in order to fulfill the role of cultural formation within professional education in Higher Education. Considering the cultural formation as being decisive for the education and the learning of the contemporary subject, it is imperative the approach between that formal education and the museums to guarantee an important part of that education
