Resumo: |
This dissertation begins with two questions: why the principialist Bioethics, founded on the systematic use of principles of autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence and justice has not accomplished all the dimensions of medical responsibility in the technological context? And would it be possible to conceive of another responsibility, less formal and more substantive, more adequate to the ethical demands of technological society? The aim of this study is to show that Hans Jonas’ philosophy can lead us to that desired responsibility, for his comprehensive understanding of the technological phenomenon, from its metaphysical assumptions to the temporal and existential radicality of the impacts of technological action |
