Resumo: |
This research has the goal to analyze the tropeira activity on current days in the region of Vale do Paraíba (Paraíba Valley), guided by the contemporary sense of having an occupation in the 21st Century that is linked to a time that there was not great resources available and other means of transportation, like today. Coming from theoretical references, allied with an ethnographic study and interviews with informers selected in the field, on the light of the biographical method Oral History, where we collected testimonials of people that still do the tropeira activity, ex-tropeiros that perform this occupation and changed their field of work, and also direct descendants of the tropeiros, seeking to analyze the influence of the troops on social dynamics of the communities pictured, as well as its importance to local economy and its perspectives of continuity |
