Resumo: |
This research deals with the population's trust in public security maintenance institutions. It has as triggers, episode of the life story of this researcher and facts of media impact on public security. In this way, concepts and elements are plotted, such as trust and optimism. The theoretical basis comes from authors in psychology, sociology, and political science. The central problem, the attributes that influence the population's trust in the institutions that maintain public security and how they present themselves in the current political and social situation in Brazil. From theproblem presented, the question arises: From the direct and indirect experience of episodes of violence that negatively affect society, it is possible to observe and analyze the level of confidence of the population in the state's capacity to maintain public security, based on the experiences and attributes of individuals? We start from the hypothesis that the population is confident that it is possible to maintain public security and is influenced in its intensity by different attributes that help to define it. The general objective of this research is to analyze the relationships and correlations between internal and external factors in the trust placed by the population in public security institutions. As specific objectives, the first one considers identifying social and psychological attributes that influence the population's degree of trust in public securityinstitutions. The second is to identify the population's degree of trust in public security institutions. As a justification, we believe that thesocial function of the research, considers recognizing and understanding the opinion of the actors involved on the state's capacity to maintain public security, in the face of the recurrent citation of the crisis of representativeness and to list mechanisms that allow the state to meet the wishes of its population more clearly and objectively. In this way, we contribute to the field since we scientifically explore popular opinion about the reality of security in a troubled political scenario that presents high rates of robberies, homicides, robberies, urban battles between police and gangs. The research is structured in six chapters, the first being dedicated to theoretical questions, mainly in the relationships and correlations between social psychology and political psychology with confidence and optimism. The second chapter deals with public security, showing a historical-sociological view of issues related to this context, presenting some political-social positions and documentary contributions. In the third chapter, we present the framework of the field research, its modeling, forms of application and the methods for data analysis. It also presents the guiding questions and the justification for research and the use of Surveys as a provider of quantitative data and qualitative, finally the data that help to understand who the sample of the respondents is. In thefourth chapter, we present the discussion of the 8 data obtained in relation to the Civil Police and in the fifth in relation to the Military Police. As a conclusion, we present the answers reached for the guiding questions of this research, the points to which we did not get answers and a proposal for future development, in addition to the contribution of this work to the field |
