Resumo: |
The present research proposal aims to analyze and understand the repercussions of the actions developed at Casa Abrigo Regional ABC Paulista1 program, performed by Social Work with women in situations of domestic violence. We made a brief history of the of the family institution in patriarchal society’s reality and the issue of domestic violence against women. We considered the dynamics of the institution studied, its interventions with women in situations of violence, the history of Casa Abrigo Regional ABC Program and brief information about the inter-municipal consortium of greater ABC. The methodology used in this study is of qualitative and critical nature, including bibliographic and documentary research and individual interviews to obtain more information about the reasons that led these women to attend Casa Abrigo social work. The results suggest that the interventions performed by the program's professionals, based on welcoming, qualified listening, respect for each woman's emotional time and empowerment, had a positive impact on the dynamics of their lives, changing their realities and contributing to the disruption of the violence cycle. We note that the professionals at the institution studied carry out the work promptly and that their initiatives directly impact on the deconstruction of the macho culture, thus fulfilling the objective of the program, by welcoming, guiding, guaranteeing rights, strengthening self-esteem and curbing violence against woman |
