Resumo: In this thesis we talk about Pokémon, the most profitable franchise of today, and about VirtualYoutubers, streamers who use avatars to create new identities, which are rapidlygainingprominence on streaming sites. We will see how some myths appear in these objects, relatingthem to the new images, just as Aby Warburg did in his Atlas Mnemosyne. Moreover, withthe help of Norval Baitello Jr. and Vilém Flusser's theories, we will see howthesemyth-media images transform into imagetic people and animals, forming environments andbonds. We will observe how this phenomenon creates fan communities on the Internet, whichareenvironments formed around the images. The strategy of these images to get closer totheirpublic is to create bonds with beings from the real world. During the research we couldseehow the creation of bonds is essential for Virtual Youtubers and Pokémon, and we alsorealizethe possibility that Virtual Youtubers are images that can possess a newcharacteristic, sincethey gain a different meaning the moment they start to exist together with the bodiesofhuman beings. We used the following concepts to analyze the objects of this research: NorvalBaitello Jr.'s iconophagy, Aby Warburg's pathosformel, Harry Pross' concept of media, andVilém Flusser's thoughts on artifice, artifact, and artifice
