Resumo: Studies about gender, gender roles and their implications are still scarce in behavior analysis, although there has been a marked growth in the last decade. Gender issues range from denying reinforcers to women to limiting professional positions to women. In order to investigate what has been researched about gender in behavior analysis, its consequences and intervention proposals, a search was carried out using keywords in four different journals. Twenty-six articles were selected and read in full, which resulted in the classification of relevant data from each article for this study, such as: objective, addressed subject, definition of gender, implications of gender roles, and how behavior analysts can intervene for the equity between genders. The results show that most articles are related to the topics of: (a) women; and (b) disparities between men and women in behavior analysis. Most articles are reflective, and the experimental ones were designed to identify the validity of instruments for measuring gender stereotypes
