Resumo: |
Tact is a verbal operant frequently emmited by humans. It consists on the behavior of speaking about oneself and about the world, and the verbal community plays an importante role when it comes to teaching tact. To date there is no guide for parents and caregivers, wirtten through the lenses of Applied Behavior Analysis, on how to teach typical developing children tact public and private events. For such material to be developed, firstly a review on the research done on teaching tacting should be done in order to identify relevant variables involved in teaching such operant. This paper contains a review of experimental studies which aimed to teach tacting of public and/or private events to typical developing participants. This review had two goals: a) characterize and criticaly analyse the studies aimed to teach tact, published in Brazilian and foreing journals, in order to identify relevant variables for the success of the intervention, success in maintaining and generalazing the gains obtained; b) identify teaching strategies which can support the publishing of a guide for parentes and caregivers to teach tact to typical developing children. A search was conducted on the database Periódico Capes and 28 studies were selected and analysed. It was identified that functional dependence and independence was the most published topic up to this time and no studies aimed to train parentes and caregivers were found. Regarding the teaching of tacting of private events, three studies where found, but the participants were adults. One teaching strategie that can help tact acquisition is that manipulation of deprivation could contribute to the increase of tacting responses |
