This research deals with the issue of Mathematics teacher’s initial formation and the Psychology of Mathematics Education in the context of Mathematics Education. It analyzes the possibilities and potentialities of psychological knowledge in collaborating to face the Mathematics teaching and learning challenges. It aimed to investigate the contributions of psychology in teacher formation in their insertion in the Mathematics bachelor´s degree. It was characterized as a bibliographical research, in a qualitative approach, an incoming to understanding the effectiveness of the Psychology contributions, based on previous studies in this approach, in the teacher formation concepts as a reflective practitioner researcher professional, and the most significant learning and development psychological theories to the mathematics education field. It indicates the importance of Psychology of Mathematics Education for the mathematics teacher formation, and defends their inclusion as a curricular component for the bachelor´s degree level |
