This dissertation seeks to analyze the impeachment process of Dilma Rousseff through the Folha de S. Paulo, O Globo and O Estado de S. Paulo editorials. To achieve this goal, a discussion of the role and influence of the media at different stages of history is first held. In this way, we seek to discuss the relationship between politics, the media, civil society and democracy. This discussion aims to serve as a basis for analyzing how the political crisis that affected Dilma Rousseff's government in her second term was set. Finally, the valence analysis method is used to understand the positioning of the three newspapers on Dilma's impairment
