Entering in a college education and the years spent in a course have been considered one of the most important stages of development of a Young adult. Throughout the world, psychological support services have grown and become more frequent in College Education. Despite of having theory research about the acting of the psychologist in College Education, there are few studies with field research that approach the characteristics of psychological services in college education. This current research had as general objective to understand the contributions of the activities held by the Psychological Support Service of a private college education institution located in Teresina, in the state of Piauí. The research focused on a case study as methodology from a systemic reading of the phenomenon. The production of quantitative and qualitative data was adopted and took place into two different phases. In the quantitative phase, 96 promptuaries were consulted in the Psychological Support Service of the institution, contemplating the two-year period of 2016-2017, with the objective of tracing the sociodemographic profile, academic data and complaints from the students who participated in this service. In the qualitative phase, we used the semi-structured interview with the educational actors as instrument with the objective of deepening the data collected and analyzed in the previous phase. The academic principal, four course coordinators and a psychologist participated in the study. The criteria for the selection from the academic staff was: to have at least a year of experience in the occupation and to be interested in participating. From a systemic perspective, the analysis sought to integrate the obtained data about the profile of the people who used the service to the perception of several educational actor of the institution. It was possible to identify through the results the amount of students attended in the service; sex, average age; the course; the stage of the course and a description of the complaints presented by the students, which were grouped in categories according to the approached content. The obtained data allowed us to identify that most complaints were associated to the categories of Mental Health, Academic Life, Family Relations and Social and Emotional Relations. The results of the qualitative phase indicated the awarness of the interviewed educational actors concerning the proposal of the service and role of the psychologist in the institution The analysis allowed the discussions of proposals opf the activities developed, challenges faced and suggestions of the role of the psychologist in the student support service in private college education, as well as the interfaces between psychology clinic and educational psychology.
