Resumo: |
The institutionalization of the Center for Weather Forecasting and Climate Studies - CPTEC / INPE is the object of this dissertation. Through analysis of official documents and technical reports sought to describe the trajectory of this institution on two occasions: when the implementation of meteorology at INPE, the treatment given by the institute to this area of knowledge and the transformations undergone by the sector. In a second time when there was a reorganization of meteorology at INPE, culminating with the creation of CPTEC and what is specific to him, as products of the Centre and the techniques used by him. We considered the hypothesis that the CPTEC / INPE is an institution of national and international benchmark that brought significant contributions to the history of meteorology and climatology in Brazil, through research, development projects and the use of new technologies. The relevance of this study is to document historically the center of this trajectory, even contributed significantly to the development of technical and scientific meteorology and climatology Brazilian material is still available about its history |
