Resumo: |
This thesis aims to present a path on the permanence of the students of the courses in the scope of high school, having as reference the following themes: access and stay at the Federal Network of Vocational and Technological Education. The expansion of access to the above-mentioned Education Network was based on Law 11,892 / 2008, which created the Federal Institutes in the country, and the Decree 7.234 / 2010 of the Student Assistance – Pnaes –, bringing to the context of the institutes the discussion around school evasion, which is characterized as a complex, multifaceted and multicausal phenomenon linked to personal, social and institutional factors. However, in this thesis, the centrality is in student stay, seeking to understand this process from the perspective of the students, when unveiling the factors, situations, benefits, relationships that support and sustain their permanence. Thus, an analysis from the student angle is presented, by means of a challenging instrument for the Social Service area of knowledge: the “cartography of social action”. We were able to identify the structure that supports their stay in the middle level courses, mainly those integrated with the vocational technician, be it the relations that permeate this daily life, or the institutional infrastructure and the territory in which they are inserted. In this context, student permanence requires a thorough study of its determining factors, based on the concrete and specific demands presented by high school students. This thesis ends with a deeper reflection of the social service as an area of interventional knowledge capable of reading the reality experienced by students daily in federal institutes |
