Resumo: |
This dissertation proposes an investigation of the consequences of scientific advances in the contemporary psychiatry panorama using the psychoanalytic method. The research starts from the work experience of the researcher as an analyst in the Somatoform Disorders Outpatient Clinic (SOMA) of the Psychiatry Institute (IPq) in a highly complex university hospital (HCFMUSP). The author investigated the hypothesis that the diagnosis of somatoform disorder, due to its symptomatic specificity — physiological manifestations — would produce an enigma to the medical discourse and thus, would be able to reveal a gap in the violence of the subject classification act proposed by the DSM. This academic work examined historically how the hegemonic manual in psychiatry — DSM — and its alliance with the pharmaceutical industry was consolidated and the resulting consequences from this process: the abandonment of the psychiatric clinical practice leading to the obliteration of the subject in psychiatric practice. This work also discussed about a critical investigation of a new horizon in psychiatric actuality: the neurological psychiatry and the possibility of mapping mental illnesses. The understanding of the anguish neurosis described by Freud and of the psychosomatic phenomena proposed by Lacan were used as a possible reading of the diagnosis of the somatoform disorder, other than the boxing phenomena based on the diagnostic proposal of the DSM. From the sharing of the work experience in the SOMA outpatient clinic, the researcher sought through the transmission of the psychoanalytic ethics postulated by Freud — of the subject of desire and the subject of the unconscious — the possibility of rescuing the clinical psychiatric practice for psychiatry residents along their training period |
