Resumo: |
The global movement of state reforms redefines the model of public service delivery by reducing direct government involvement in their provision and encouraging the participation of private entities. In Brazil, these transformations have intensified since the 1990s, impacting the formulation and execution of public policies across all levels of government. This process has led to what is known as the new public administration, characterized by the increasing participation of third-sector entities. These policies have significantly impacted the management of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo. There is, therefore, a strong connection between public services, the third sector in the form of social organizations, and the cultural field, revealing how these elements interact in an interdependent manner. In this context, the management of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo illustrates the challenges and opportunities that arise from the intersection between the public sphere and the third sector, as well as presenting new challenges regarding regulation and social control |
