Resumo: The main objective of this research was to show the life history of the oldest former mayor of Brazil. The writings of Giddens (2002) were used to demonstrate the interference of modernity in the lives of human beings and Beauvoir (1990) and Bosi (1994) intertwine the aging, a fact that further demonstrates how the old social minorities. In June 2011 the former mayor was impeached, ashamed decided to go into exile at his farm in Paraguay, the weakness in all it faces ( biological, psychological and social) took care ok the elderly who until then was seen an a winner and in just three months of bitterness and shame, Susumo died
