Resumo: The present research proposes an investigation concerning the possible therapeutic effects of education, questioning the role of the school in relation to children with severe disorders of development. Therefore, it questions in which way the school can produce therapeutic effects capable to promote a shift of the subjective position of the autistic child, also reflecting on how psychoanalysis can bring up another look at education that implies a paradigm change in educational function. Towards this direction, the research presents the case of Ronaldo, a five year old boy, whose transference relationship that he establishes basically with me, educational guidance of his school, with his teacher and also with other members of his school, allowed the construction of significant links that had provided moments of exit of his autistic closing. Based on the conception of Alfredo Jerusalinsky (1993) deepened by Leda Bernardino (2000) on the not-determined psychoses of infancy, the emphasis on the subjective power of the discursive movement that permeates school space, represented the possibility of thinking about another outcome for the autistic condition of the boy. In this perspective, the investigation was carried through the study of Ronaldo´s case, by observing and listening to the teachers of the institution where the child was studying, considering operators of psychoanalysis
