Resumo: |
This project proposes to analyze the work of social workers, inserted in the sociooccupational spaces of the Basic Social Protection Policy; highlighting social relations and interests of capital in the territory of Vale do Ribeira, using the framework of critical theory. Supported by bibliographical research, it presents the historical context of social work and the construction of the social worker’s work in this process, in addition to data collection on the territory of Vale do Ribeira. With the aim of exploring the debate on the aforementioned theme, the socio-occupation spaces of Basic Protection in the territory of Vale do Ribeira were used as a research field, through interviews carried out with social workers inserted in these spaces. Five municipalities were selected in view of the proximity and distance of the municipality considered as the Capital of the Valley: Registro. Thus: the municipalities listed for research were: Registro, Cajati, Pariquera-Açu, Juquiá and Barra do Turvo. In This sense, the main findings of the research show that (1) the debate on the Basic Protection in Vale do Ribeira-SP is inserted in the perspective of the need to break with the historical questions of the profession allied to goodness and charity – readings that go beyond helping others or the mere distribution of food. (2) that the Social Assistance Policy needs to be understood in the study territory as a Public Policy to subsidize the work of the social worker; and (3) The process off searching for knowledge and permanent education materializes in a central point for the work of the social worker, since this provides new readings and proposals for intervention, providing the organization of work in daily life, both individually and collectively. In short, this research emerges as essential from the point of view of reflection on the work of social workers in the Vale do Ribeira, with the aim of encouraging social workers to reflect on the posed reality and the operational technical dimensions that dialogue with a project emancipatory ethics |
