Resumo: Each family acts according to its constitution and the forces that promote the maintenance of its procedure. Family patterns are constantly changing, influenced by multiple aspects. The present work aimed to carry out a theoretical study on issues related to subjective forces acting in families assisted in the clinical and hospital context, searching to identify and understand the Myths and Family Loyalties, which make up the relational tie existing in family dynamics, not always noticed by its members or by the health professionals who attend them. The deepening articulated its possible implications in the clinical-therapeutic work, pertinent to the genetic diagnosis process, trying to understand the resonances in the context of care, communication and in the professional-patient-family relationship. As a methodology, qualitative documentary research was carried out, through document analysis revisiting theoretical concepts of constitution, myths and family loyalties, articulated with clinical vignettes. The research has an ex-post-facto design with an explanatory approach. Conceptualizations about myths and family loyalties pointed to the need to revisit and consider the application of the concept called CPF (Family Psychological Contract), which, articulated to the clinical case, allowed subjective issues acting in family dynamics and in the diagnostic process genetic were perceived. The study highlighted the need to review the still traditional, linear-Cartesian biomedical paradigm, characterized by only questions and answers. It suggests the performance of the psychology professional with a humanized relational posture, which promotes the integration of these transformations in the clinical, hospital and academic contexts.
