This is a manner to provide greater management clarity and, then, achieve investments and fundraising that would be less onerous for the institutions. Besides the fact that they are expanding their business and improving the Brazilian Institutes of Higher Education activities as a whole. It is the situation of the following private institutes of higher education researched in this study: Anhanguera Educacional, Estácio Participações S.A., Kroton Educacional, and Sistema Educacional Brasileiro (SEB S.A.). The external environment that surrounds and regulates the education sector has also been surveyed; and some steps for those who want to implant corporate governance have been discussed, according to the area experts
