Resumo: The present study aims to understand the meaning of the rise of the extreme right to power in 2018, to identify the social determinants that contributed to this rise and the impacts within Social Work, considering that the profession is not an island, it is inserted in the real and makes and remakes itself based on social transformations. For that, we carried out a study with a qualitative approach, as well as bibliographical and documental research. For the collection of empirical data, open and closed interviews were carried out, based on a semi-structured script, with the participation of seven professionals, being, (01) Social Assistance professional (server), (01) third sector professional, (01) Health professional (server), (01) Health professional (OS), (01) Fundação Casa professional, (01) Judiciary professional, (01) Social Security professional. The interviews made it possible to understand the impacts of the implementation of the austerity policies implemented after the Temer government, as well as the repercussions of Bolsonarism within the profession. Thus, the study of the subject becomes important because, understanding the phenomenon of neo-fascism, as well as its repercussions within the profession, are necessary to suspend it
