In this work I have as the main objective to study the interethnic relations, in canguçu, Rio Grande do Sul. I deal with questions related to german identities. Therefore, the group"germans" was subdivided into:"pomeranians" and"real germans". Still in the context of the research about german identity, one aspect that has raised my attention was the lutheran congregation manuel do rego, which integrates the lutheran evangelical church from Brazil and mostly afrodescendent people compose it. I analyse the construction of these identitary processes contrasting these groups. I used the methodology from oral history and from bibliography related to the cultural history, anthropology and sociology studies.
