This proposal studies the Missioner peoples at the Ecclesiastical Paraguay in periods of crisis and its dynamics, particularly during episodes of hunger, epidemics and wars. The multiples identities articulated and the multiple ways of choosing by the Aboriginals from the towns, demonstrates how the crisis has been used as a stimulated beginning of debates among the Jesuits on important practices and beliefs. As a result, those populations have participated proactively in the pastoral’s elaboration, that is, as a whole of versions and efficient and or creative proposals, frequently ambiguous or tense, in a way of living connected or viable to the Colonial world where they are.
