Resumo: | Inserted into the large area of Applied Social Sciences, in the area of Communication Research and in the field of Journalism Studies, this dissertation is about the sports journalism of Brazilian broadcast television in this beginning of century. The overall goal is to unravel the phenomenon called “engraçadismo” – a word created during this research to mean the increasing of the space occupied by the infotainment and the consequent reduction of the space dedicated to the sports news in the sports journalism television programs. This study starts from the hypothesis that, by privileging the facts that Bourdieu (1997) called omnibus, the sports journalism turns into a very different area: the infotainment. In this context, make fun of everything is more important than the news. Adopted as the research object, the TV show Globo Esporte, produced by Rede Globo and other stations, are going to be studied based on the content analysis systematized by Bardin (1977). In the theoretical framework of this study were used, among others authors, the concepts of Wolton (1996), Cannito (2010), Bucci (2000), Blázquez (2000), Gabler (1999), Aronchi (2004), Gomes (2006), Marcondes Filho (2009), Alsina (2009), Traquina (2005), Alcoba (2005) and Barbeiro and Rangel (2006). |
