Resumo: The present dissertation aims to analyze the strategic process of a credit union system, through application of an analysis scheme with a description of the adopted strategies and it evaluation. The Credit Union structures itself on a System model, having inter-organizational elements, integrating diverse organizations that, although acting with their own rules and strategic process, unite to reach shared proposes. To conduct those established objectives was adopted the qualitative research method, with a case study on the Credit Union System (SICREDI), were applied seven personal interviews, twelve questionnaires with directors from different System entities an a documental analysis. The researcher used an analysis scheme that encloses the dimensions Planning, Organizational Structure, Directive and Decision Process and Evaluation, being increased with variables of inter-organizational purposes. The research showed SICREDI as a holder of a complex strategic process and allowed it’s analysis through the description of all elements of each proposed dimension, including strong points and to improve, and the validation of links between the presented variables. The analysis scheme allows to understand the process of the strategy in interorganizational relations and the presented dimensions and variables explain the integration between formulation and implementation of the strategy, being able to be used to analyze other inter-organizational arrangements.
