Resumo: | The present Master’s degree paper is composed by two parts. In the first one it was carried out a review of Brazilian literature regarding supervision in Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytical Psycotherapy, in scientific journals published between 2001-2006 in the following electronic data bases: Lilacs, Scielo, Pepsic and Indexpsi, from the descriptor “supervisão psic$”. The 64 articles originally found had been reduced for 13, after careful reading that disregarded those that did not approach the subject directly. The 13 articles that remained had been reread and categorized per content analysis. These procedures led to 11 categories of discussion. It was concluded that empirical researches are not the focus of studies regarding the theme. Literature about supervision is mostly about theoretical aspects with illustrations of clinical vignettes to exemplify them. It was also verified that: the articles do not discuss the steps that supervisor and supervisees must follow to reach the desirable objectives; although new pathologies are discussed in the texts, they do not bring suggestions of changes in the technique and the strategy of supervision to deal with these new configurations; few articles approach the “controlling” aspect of supervision, focusing the apprenticeship aspects more; articles that bring case-examples for illustration of theoretical aspects do not mention previous informed agreement signed by the participants, what is demanded by resolutions on research with human beings. The scarcity of empirical studies was, therefore, the starting point for the second part. The objective was to describe the experience of supervision under the supervisees’ point of view. Sample was composed by 338 citizens: 204 trainees of Clinical Psychology, undergraduate students of Psychology, undergoing their training in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy, in Clinic- Schools in courses of Psychology in Rio Grande do Sul; and 134 graduated Psychologists, also undergoing their training in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy in the Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy Training Institutes in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The instrument was a five points likert scale, composed by 27 questions. Analysis had been done by descriptive statistics (enclosing frequencies, averages and percentages) and inferencial statistics (Mann Whitney’s Test), to characterize the sample and to compare the results of the two groups (trainees ans professionals), respectivly. Results show that significant statistical differences between the set of answers of the trainees and psychologists were found regarding 18 questions of the instrument (p≤0,05). Such differences were discussed in accordance with the three blocks purposed for analysis of the instrument. The differences found can be related to the particular moments each group was facing considering their training: undergraduated trainees, who were experiencing their first contact with supervised psychotherapy and professionals, who are more experienced, undergoing their training in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy Training Institutes. |
