Resumo: Currently due to physical inactivity, the lack of information and vices, many individuals face great problems of health as degenerative chronic illnesses and back pain known as lombalgia causing these individuals beyond pain a change in theirs dayly life. The present work had as objective to interpret the effectiveness of the combination of exercises and Fisioteraphy in the recovery of the lombalgia, in the aged ones who use the Sistema Unico de Saude (SUS) of the city of Mafra-SC. The present inquiry is quantitative and characterized as being an experimental study, in a delineation of effectiveness. The targed subjects were formed by individuals with more than 60 years old from Mafra, totalizing 109 individuals, that had been previously selected through medical examinations and physical evaluation, the data were properly contained in a handbook. The inclusion criteria, beyond the age, says respect to the subjects of the research that present chronic lombalgia, in conditions to perform the exercises contained in the methodology of the present research. The chosen teams had been divided randomly, through registration odd/even, in two groups. Group one: the ones that had made the fisioteraphy work, followed by physical exercise, simultaneous form. Group two: the ones that had made only the fisioteraphy work, constituting of this form the CONTROL group, being stipulated 20 sessions for both groups. Results: How much to the descriptive analysis of the characteristics of the groups one calculated average of age in 66,74±6,35 years, being the majority FEMALE individuals, entering 78. 18% of aged in group one and 77. 77% of aged in group two. After doing analysis statistics for comparison of the measures found in pre-test and pos-test of the groups physical exercise and control, the two groups presented Index of Corporal Mass statiscals differences. They had gotten a bigger difference in relation to the average of 0,98 reduction of kg/m² in the group who have controlled for 0,24 kg/m ² in group one. In relation to the percentage of fat we observe a bigger equality in this protocol presenting similarity between the differences on average values, getting a difference between the groups of only 0. 4% of fat what it is not significant. The waist circumference test was the one which presented the bigest difference between the groups, in the group one average was in 2,51cm and the control group presented 0,29cm. In flexibility, the collected data had not presented a normal distribution, being thus, used the comparison test of Wilcoxon, getting significant statistical differences in the two groups. Being 2. 31 cm in the group one and of only 0,29 cm in the control group between pre-test/pos-test, flexibility of shoulder, it did not show significant differences between pre and pos tests tests in the two groups. In the item strength group one got the biggest difference in relation to the control group, occurring a significant statistic diffrence in group one of 3,27 Kg and 0,24 Kg in group two. The scale of pain, this 0 variable presented significant difference in the two groups, to if comparing the averages it was identified that the joined difference was of 2,03 in group one and 0,23 in group two in relation to the reduction of pain. It was observed that the combined action of physical exercise with the fisioteraphy occurred a significant improvement on the physical conditions that were tested, but also in the perception of pain and with this we got a faster recovery in group 1.
