Resumo: | Several studies demonstrate the spiders potential as bioindicators. However is not well understood how we can use them for this subject in the right way. The scientific works approach has been in the goal to find single spiders species as bioindicators. This study proposes a different point of view, and demonstrates that the spider community is an excellent yardstick by which we can have useful information to developing environmental diagnostics. Ten campaigns were conducted during the period of two and a half years between January 2008 and April 2010, with total sampling effort of 1800 traps. We collected 2400 specimens of spiders, belonging to 30 families. Samples were collected using the pitfall traps method, used in three areas with forest fragment, where the traps were placed inside and outside of the fragments. The interpretation of community structure parameters such as diversity, equitability, richness and dominance can be interpreted and related to vegetation. The observed data demonstrates that spiders communities are landscape type related, responding significantly to the vegetation structural complexity. The community founded in more heterogeneous environments showed qualitatively better indexes when compared to anthropogenic environments. This connection allows the interpretation of the environment through the analysis of spider community dynamics, however the way of the data approach is fundamental and key to provide the right information that can be applied and related to environmental diagnostics. |
