The present thesis in education deals with research, accomplished in 2009, with 46 leaders in a petrochemical industry where data about the difficulties and expectations regarding the leaders’ role in the current days were collected. These data had been later deepened originating information worked by means of narratives of life histories of four of these leaders, intentionally chosen. As a result of this study the proposal of a new leadership called “Educating Leader” was structured. The construction and outlines of this concept are the analytical object of the present thesis which, at the end, let us understand that one must have some specific competences that are deeply necessary to whom wishes to thrash the steps of this new way of being a leader.
