Resumo: |
Digital transformation is a theme already addressed in many sources of articles and various academic research. However it was not treated as the central focus of the researches consulted, but as a mention to the theme without its depth, and clear definition, and when we link the theme together with agribusiness processes, we realize that there are still many points to be analyzed and built. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the term digital transformation, as it is applied in the context of agribusiness. Based on existing work on digital transformation applied to the agribusiness context consulted in academic bases, four main pillars that can be applied to the specific needs of digital transformation can be evidenced during the literature review processes (knowledge management, automation, efficiency, and continuity) for agribusiness. In order to support the theoretical analysis of this work, two research methods were used: the first was quantitative, where a questionnaire was used for data collection, where the collected data were statistically compared using a multi-criteria decision analysis mechanism, the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP)), to understand the relationships between these four pillars and their components found in the research context, and a second qualitative research process, using interviews with experts, to the confrontation of opinions and their understanding of the results found in the literature review, and supporting the results presented in the quantitative research. Finally, this work proposes the identification of pillars and components for future studies on digital technologies in agribusiness. This research hopes to contribute to the development of the literature with; a) analysis and refinement of the term digital transformation for agribusiness; b) selection and validation of technical pillars and components; c) analyze which digital technologies correlated with the process of digital transformation in agribusiness are the most salient. This research has as a limitation in its sampling and application instances of agribusiness located in Brazil. |
