Resumo: |
In recent years public transport by bus is considered one of the major responsible for the emission of harmful gases and consumer of petroleum products in large centers. Brazil has a renewable energy matrix, since most of it is hydroelectric based. In addition, it has an idleness of consumption that allowed its application in new technologies, such as the electric bus. This dissertation aims to analyze the barriers and facilitators for the implementation of electric buses in the public transportation system of São Paulo. For that, a qualitative and exploratory research was developed. The collection of the primary data was used a semi-structured route applied to three sectors responsible for the management of this transport: the public power, the bus operators and the manufacturers of bus chassis. The secondary data considered studies that contemplate the verification of the electric generation capacity of the state of São Paulo, laws that help in the adoption of a less polluting fuel for the city and national and international mobility plan. In the discussion of the results it is verified that there is already a movement with some solutions to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases for public transport. New studies on the metropolitan region of São Paulo can show more factors that influence decision making on the electric bus, due to the neighboring cities of São Paulo being considered as "dormitories" and the same impact the transport also of the capital. |
