Resumo: |
Over the years, with the aging of the population and the inversion of the age pyramid in many countries of the world, there have been more and more concerns related to life habits, especially with regard to aspects related to the practice of physical activities as a probable mitigating factor for the risks of diseases of the circulatory system, in particular cardiovascular diseases. The objective of this research was to highlight the impact of public health policies on the life habits of individuals aged between 18 and 70 years, over 10 years, in the cities of São Paulo - SP and Rio de Janeiro - RJ, especially with in relation to physical activities, calculating the costs related to hospitalizations resulting from chronic non-transmissible diseases , in addition to the number of deaths that occurred in the period. The methodology used was based on the number of deaths that occurred in the same age groups in the reference capitals, in the period from 2008 to 2017, caused by diseases of the circulatory system, which were through data obtained from the CID-10 Chapters, identified through the Mortality Information System (SIM) of the Public Health Departments of each corresponding state, in the capitals listed for the research, were compared using an adjusted rate divided by age group. From the statistical analysis with the software Sigma Plot 14.5, a correlation calculation was made between the data related to the practice of physical activities, mortality rate due to diseases of the circulatory system and hospitalizations due to the same pathology. As a result, it was found that there is a reduction in the mortality rate, when there is an increase in the practice of physical activities, however, there was also an increase in the cost of hospitalizations in the SUS and a decrease in the percentage of health plan holders. Based on the observed results, and considering public policies and costs related to hospital admissions in the public health network, there was the possibility of identifying an increase in investments in health services, as well as a significant increase in the incidence of individuals who died. due to diseases of the circulatory system in the decade studied. |
