Resumo: |
Enhancing user experience and perceived value in software projects remains a perennial challenge for both software companies and academics. Value perception is acknowledged as personal and can vary depending on the user's contextual environment. The aim of this research is to present a theoretical model, comprising two dimensions and eight factors, that, when applied to a software project, enhances the perceived value by users. This doctoral thesis is structured in the form of multiple studies, consisting of two articles and a technological product. It began with a systematic literature review for the identification and proposition of the theoretical model, followed by a multiple case study, where the relevance of the model and identified factors were empirically evaluated in the field. This research is primarily qualitative, adopting an integrative and interpretative approach. The application of the model demonstrated practical and theoretical relevance by contributing to the increase of perceived value by users in a software project. The theoretical model was applied during a real-life project and assisted managers and stakeholders in prioritizing development aligned with user experience expectations and demands. |
