Resumo: |
This research has the objective of analyzing the school path of students, children of parents with a low educational level, who are considered as students of the first generation. The objectives of this research were to: confirm the enrollment pattern at the University of Sao Paulo according to the official data from FUVEST; know the educational background of the student; detect the difficulties encountered by the students in the adaptation to public university; identify the relationship between the university admittance and the role of family members. The research was divided into two parts. The first part corresponded with the investigation of the official statistic data available from FUVEST from 2011, 2012 and 2013, with the intention to analyze the USP entrance pattern, as well as identify the percentage of students from the first generation that were registered. The second part of the research was done with the analysis of the narration of some interviewed students registered in EACH, to compose an analysis panorama. The present research concluded that the interviewed students feel that accessing a public university, especially USP, is still very difficult and challenging, and that the entrance pattern of students from the public educational system to the University of Sao Paulo in the years cited was very small, even with the creation of the Social Inclusion Program (INCLUSP). Therefore, it is necessary to intensify the inclusion program or make governmental actions more effective with the intention to alter the admittance pattern to the University of Sao Paulo, which is characterized primarily by its students from the private educational system. |
