Resumo: |
Quality management is considered one of the highest priorities for organizations to succeed in today's ever more competitive market. In this context, quality management should be a concept that exists in all sectors of companies and organizations, especially in the design phase of new products, systems, services and processes. The design phase has a greater impact on the product life cycle, so the improvement of product quality at this stage is more significant. Therefore, this research proposes a framework focused on improving the quality of products in its design phase, this framework uses philosophies that constitute a method of product development consecrated and widely explored in the scientific and business environment, the Principles of Axiomatic Design. To do so, the research method used involves three parts, a bibliographical research, to collect secondary data that support the case study, and the application of the Principles of Axiomatic Design in two moments, first to evaluate a product and second to improvements that positively impact their quality. Thus, this exploratory research leads a theoretical and conceptual study that involves the quality improvement of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) currently commercialized. The Axiomatic Design Principles were applied in this development with the objective of proposing a framework for product quality improvement in the design phase and the theoretical development of a CVT gearbox. |
