Resumo: This dissertation deals with the convergences and approximations between the thoughts of Carl Gustav Jung and Edgar Morin, in which it concerns the critic of the Modernity and of the modern subject. The convergences are considered at the ontological and epistemological level, drawing approximations between the Jungian approach of the psychological system and the theory of complexity in Morin. It establishes connections between the thoughts of the two authors in what it refers, among other aspects, to the concepts of individuation in Jung and complex subject and autopoiese in Morin, and between the Jungian concept of fantasy-thought and the Morinian proposal of reconnection between myths and logos, there is a way to the construction of the complex thought. Finally, it touches the implications of the convergences between the two authors in the construction of a new critical pedagogy to the modern paradigm. The former would include among its objectives the use of pedagogic strategies to stimulate, among other aspects, the capacity to fantasise. The development of this capacity would facilitate, par excellence, the emergence in the pupil of: a) his aptitudes as a singular, unique individual, with conditions to position itself and to act critically towards society and culture and b) a vital, creative attitude in actions and thoughts, so necessary in facing the challenges of our times of crisis.
