Resumo: |
Operational excellence is unanimity in the discourse of business and can be viewed and applied in various ways, some of them using the Lean Six Sigma methodology and support to achieve it. However, in many cases there are difficulties in assessing the real contribution of Lean Six Sigma in the absence of data collection, as the definition of performance measurement indicators dedicated to this purpose. The aim of this dissertation was to analyze the influence of Lean Six Sigma in operating financial results, in addition to correlate these results to the level of training of officials involved in the Lean Six Sigma program and analyze the relationship between the investments made by these companies versus financial result achieved by utilizing the methodology. Once the decision to use Lean Six Sigma, the dissertation tried to identify what are the critical success factors of this implementation, for it contained a case study conducted in multiple companies, market leaders in Brazil, benchmarking of using Lean Six Sigma, through semi-structured interview based on a questionnaire in order to obtain quantitative and qualitative data to prove the hypotheses presented. At the end of the study it was possible to understand that not all situations in which the relationship between financial results, number of people trained and investment is significant, there are other factors that affect these correlations. In addition to the ten critical success factors found in the literature review was possible to identify a factor related to people that must be entered on the list for companies interested in the subject to use as a guide for implementation. |
