Resumo: This research is a requirement of the Management and Educational Practices Program at Nove de Julho University (UNINOVE), under the Research and Intervention Methodology of Learning and Teaching Practices Line (LIMAPE), it aims to serve as a source of reference for teachers in order to point out some paradigms and, if possible, try to break them through a practical application, regarding the use of applications in favor of the teaching and learning process of English Language in the Elementary education in a public school at Jandira city in São Paulo. The concern regarding the proposed theme arose with three questions: Are applications used in English Language teaching for students in the Elementary Education? If so, how are they used. As activities are carried out during classes, is there content creation collaboratively? What are the technological challenges and possibilities that are evident in the process of developing the teacher's pedagogical practices using an application? These were the questions that permeated the research. We start from the hypothesis that the use of applications facilitates and streamlines the learning of the English language by students, in addition to updating the school context in relation to the necessary use of new technologies by teachers and students today. We have three main objectives: 1) to verify the importance of using applications in the English classes for Elementary school pupils; 2) to describe the Teaching and Learning processes based on the use of applications; 3) to discuss strategies and didactics with the use of applications for smartphones in classes elaboration. The corpus used in the research will be the use of applications for the teaching of the English Language (VOKI, Stop Motion, Comic Strip It, Kahoot, QR Code). What justifies this choice are the changes brought by the reformulation of the BNCC (2018), which establishes the English Language as Língua Franca and, therefore, mediator of social interactions in a multicultural and multimodal world. At first, the theorical framework that will support this research will be the studies on Teaching and Learning methods for students of the elementary school. The methodology used was of a qualitative nature. The final product of this work is the production of activities designed by students through applications.
