Resumo: |
LPP (Pressure Injury) is considered a public health problem, which leads to inconvenience, damage and above all compromises the safety of hospitalized patients. These problems also have financial impacts on the health system. Laser therapy when applied to skin wounds is capable of promoting anti-inflammatory action and revascularization of the wound, accelerating the repair process. Therefore, the objective of this research is to evaluate the cost - effectiveness of laser use in LPP treatment. For this, a systematic review was performed, followed by meta-analysis, which included clinical trials that treated LPP with laser therapy. With the results it was possible to observe that laser therapy in the treatment of LPP is a subject of great interest to Brazilian and foreign researchers. However, given the number of publications raised and analyzed, there is a need to develop more randomized clinical trials with designs with higher methodological quality. A statistically significant difference was observed between the laser-treated group and the conventional group; the total RR was 0.63 (95% CI = 0.47-0.84). The meta-analysis showed that laser-treated groups were more likely to heal globally and were more cost-effective than conventional dressings. |
