Resumo: Through consultation and analysis of the most accepted and updated bibliography, the thesis seeks to understand the concepts of property, property registration, cadastre, irregular property, land regularization and illegal deforestation. The study is justified above all by the importance that the environmental issue has assumed in the contemporary world, which is deeply sensible to everything related to environmental conservation. Having obtained the concepts and their definitions, the thesis seeks to relate them and, through a deductive procedure, answer the question about the relationship between land regularization and the fight against illegal deforestation, always bearing in mind that property registration and the environment integrate the structure in which business activity takes place. Finally, the work concludes with the observation that land irregularity contributes to and encourages illicit deforestation, as well as that the corresponding regularization is a necessary measure to combat this illegality and preserve the environment in Brazil today.
