Resumo: |
The process of urbanization in the city of São Paulo took place in an accelerated, centralized and poorly planned way, forcing the working class to take shelter in huge peripheries without the necessary infrastructure to guarantee the right to the city. The native vegetation in the subprefecture of Parelheiros is being consumed by deforestation that gives rise to subdivisions and irregular occupations, caused by the need for housing, power maneuvers and organized crime actions, contaminating the soil and the only two clean rivers in the city that are responsible for supplying water to the capital and 25% of the metropolitan area, increasing the feeling of local insecurity. Among the many factors of insecurity is the disorganization of the territory that can cause the expansion of violence and crime. The present work aims to analyze how the disorderly and irregular population growth in the subprefecture of Parelheiros between the years 2013 and 2020, caused an impact on urban security in the region. A descriptive quantitative methodology was used, starting from an observation of the increase of irregularities identified in the area by the Division of Defense and Environmental Surveillance of the Municipal Secretariat of Urban Security and analyzing the data of the bulletins of criminal occurrences originating from the Secretariat of Public Security of the State of São Paulo that had this territory as a crime scene, the evolution of public equipment made available to the population, in addition to the population estimate from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. There was disrespect for nature, devastation of forest areas, little investment in public policies, lack of organization of the territory and an increase in crime, increasing insecurity mainly in places where subdivisions and irregular occupations are located. |
