Resumo: |
Aiming to analyze a possible innovation of the process of inspection of public roads, this work has as its central objective to investigate the admissibility of application of image detection devices, associated with in the work of pavement inspection, in order to increase the efficiency of the works, while representing a possible opportunity for improvement in the work of the technicians involved and in the quality of life of users. Smart cities have been gaining attention in recent years due to the increase in global urbanization. The concept has been one of the main guides in urban projects and new models of public management. Cities depend on architectural, urban and technological innovations to adapt to the demands for a more sustainable world and the expectation that they become more human. In this sense, mobility is a crucial point in projects involving smart cities, because the concept refers to the interaction between urban infrastructure and people to simultaneously boost economic development and quality of life. To achieve the proposed objective, the methodology used initially was a search in databases with a view to obtaining material necessary for the elaboration of the theoretical reference, directing the search for scientific materials related to themes such as urban mobility, smart cities, paving, public roads, Industry 4.0 technologies, artificial intelligence, among others. Subsequently, a qualitative research was conducted, directed to specialists in the areas of civil engineering and computer sciences, in order to obtain important data about the areas of pavement maintenance and artificial intelligence, to confront them with the data elucidated in the theoretical framework. Based on the data obtained, the results indicate evidence points to a possible admissibility of the association of artificial intelligence technology to imaging devices in the work of identifying pathologies of public roads. The contributions obtained in the work represent opportunities for technical feasibility studies to investigate the implementation of technology in the work of traffic engineering, aimed at innovation of the process of identification of pathologies on public roads, with a view to the damage mapping in the infrastructure of these roads. |
