Resumo: With the present dissertation presented to the Program of after Graduation in Education of University Nine of July (UNINOVE), we search to understand the paper and the importance of the National Curricular Parameters (PCNs), conceiving them as the materiality of one deriving curricular politics of the movement of educational reform of the last decades. The subject of this inquiry places in the confluence between educational and practical politics of education, holding of this form two main analyses: the analysis of the PCNs and the analysis of the repercussions of the proposals in the practical one of education of the professors. These analyses, associates made possible in to understand them the importance and the situation of crisis where if they find the schools public. A boarding of the historical panorama where the scene politician was marked by the educational reform, made the work to focus, especially, years 1990 and the PCNs as unfolding of the approval of the Law of Lines of direction and Bases of National Education 9394/96 - (LDB), that it guided a deep change in the history of the Brazilian Education. The study of the PCNs it had as references the workmanships of some researchers and specialists of the fields of the Education and the Geography, that has if dedicated to the practical to make a theory and the critical one in this field. We adopt in this inquiry a thoughtful examination of the available bibliography on the subject and the methodology of the focal group, format chosen for the collection of data and for its analysis we can verify the impact of the PCNs and diagnosis the limits and possibilities of the practical one of education of Geography in the Basic Education.
