Resumo: |
Urban green spaces are areas with the presence of vegetation and providers of diverse ecosystem services, which are the benefits that these spaces provide for human beings. Among the specific types of ecosystem services is the cultural one, responsible for providing recreation, educational, aesthetic and spiritual perception, enabling the expansion of the quality of life of urban citizens. Squares and urban parks are examples of green areas that provide such cultural ecosystem services - SEC. Environmental governance is directly involved in the administration, maintenance and quality that these spaces need. An environmental governance aimed at promoting better infrastructure, equipment and SEC offers can make these spaces fulfill their social and environmental functions. The objective of this dissertation is to evaluate the quality of the infrastructure and equipment of the squares and parks of Vila Jaguaribe in Osasco, SP, through the perception of the residents of the surroundings to the spaces. And to identify which SEC these areas are promoting and which are desired by the population. 216 interviews were carried out through a structured script and the data were transcribed and analyzed by the SPSS and Iramuteq systems, for the respective statistical and textual analyzes. The results show that both spaces (squares and parks) need improvement, however, the parks (rated as good) are better maintained than the squares (rated as regular), the SECs provided by these spaces, both are related with physical activities (walking), recreation and leisure. And the data indicate that the population is anxious for SEC related to the expansion of educational activities and cultural events, in addition to greater security for attending. |
