Resumo: The experience of working through educational projects has demonstrated a large effective way and facilities in the learning process in schools, nowadays. For this reason, this research has the proposal and aims to investigate the possibilities, limits, and the major barriers and challenges confronted by the teachers in working within the educational projects applied at school. For this reason, it has been made a survey in a secondary school of Prefeitura de São Paulo, whose teachers own a large experience and practice working in the development of projects in schools.It has been chosen five projects in this research such as: Reading and Writing ( Ler e Escrever), Playing Chess at School ( Xadrez Na Escola), On Radio broadcast ( Nas Ondas do Rádio), referred to the Program of Secretaria Municipal de Educação de São Paulo, including of Pedagogical Policy Projects at the secondary schools since 2006 and the Pandora s Box ( A Caixa de Pandora) and the last one Tiles on the subway (Azulejos no Metrô) in 2010. The two last ones did not belong to the Pedagogical Projects at school, however these projects were selected by most students for this study according to the following reasons: involvement among the whole team community and school going beyond the walls of the institution. Therefore, this study is based on theories of several authors, mainly by Fernando Hernandez, who brings the proposal of organization in the curriculum areas by the means of integration through the projects. According to Ulisses F. Araújo who reports the values construction and the influence of affection concerning on the students development, It has been considered the teacher s role in education. In addition, it has reflected regarding how the educational projects can contribute for the improvement on teaching for the students in terms of a higher performance, increasing their grades and assessment. Furthermore, this research has been based on major techniques such as reading, analysis, through documents, pictures and videos, interviews and questionnaires for teachers and students. The results demonstrate important strategies developed at school with the focus on this study there are a few elements that incorporate aspects related to the theories applied in the fact shows that the teacher s practice can contribute in order to implement pedagogical actions and attitudes providing a support concerning the knowledge s acquisition and values development, actions that carry on towards the ideas of interdisciplinary and transversality.
