Resumo: |
This study aims to reflect upon the role of Union Journalism in spreading information amongst workers by analyzing the content of the referred newspapers and comparing their communication approaches towards a specific agenda: the Labor Reform in Brazil. Using the Content Analysis Technique (BARDIN, 2017), we have studied Folha Bancario, Voz Comerciaria and O Metallurgico, official vehicles of three unions affiliated with different union entities. We seek to understand how they led- or inducee- the comprehension by the reader/worker, either generating engagement in the fight against the approval of the current labor legislation (Law 13.467/2017) or not. We understand that there was a lack of clarity about the position of unions in their periodicals, but that union journalism has an important role in counter-communication and the construction of the counter-hegemonic press. |
