The emotionally stressing work of people dealing with health implies, not only, the necessity of academic rehabilitation but, above all, in an adaptation in the satisfactory emotional equilibrium, basic idea for an effective work for the health of population. Worrying about the Psychology professional, this research was aimed to verify the degree of adaptive efficiency of the Psychology students from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo, São Bernardo do Campo SP, and, when necessary, they were given therapeutic indication. This work was developed with the use of EDAO (Operationally Adapting Diagnosis Scale). During the years 1999 and 2000, individual diagnosis interviews were done at the NEPAP (Study, Research and Psychological Treatment Nucleus) UMESP, with 10% of Psychology students, from both morning and evening shifts. The results were analyzed on both an individual and inter-groups basis, aiming to achieve a general view of the adaptive efficiency of these students. Concerning the obtained results, it was verified that, although some students showed difficulties in the sectors Afetivo-Relacional and Produtividade, the great majority were considered normal .(AU) |
