This research discusses the opportunities and obstacles in implementing the National Interactive Digital Terrestrial Television (iDTT) on a Distance Learning platforms in higher education. Justifies the importance of this research, the speculation that the birth of iDTT generates about their technological contributions, some of them focused specifically on the education system. The objective of this research is to collect and analyze the possibilities and dilemmas of the new technology for distance education in higher graduation, considering the views of professionals involved in implementing the new Brazilian TV. The methodology of the dissertation is composed of bibliographic and documentary research that support Brazilian digital television, interactive distance learning and related interviews with researchers and developers of the new technology, by the systematic method of interpretive analysis.
