Resumo: |
Seeking for quality of life undergoes the school, once it has a fundamental role on Health Promotion. So, the health, in its holistic concept, was the axis of this study, which sought to access the social concrete reality of the school everyday life in order to explore the field, seeking to verify the obstacles to the delay observed in human development in a such rich country. Pursuing to achieve this, I chose the study of everyday life in a lefebvrian perspective, articulating objective conditions and the representations of professors on the issue of health in school. The historical-critical study conducted in this work provided evidence for the reflection performed, showing that some teachers representations are grounded in old roots, which are based on the hygienic movement of the nineteenth century. This movement found the school as the ideal field for indoctrination of its ideals. These roots sustain the hegemonic biomedical paradigm today. The empirical study, conducted in a public school in Ribeirão Pires, SP, revealed a fragmented, homogenized and hierarchical everyday life, denominated everydayness. Factors opposed to everydayness were also identified and may signal further changes in superior activities, such as educational legislation. This study thus allows that public policy can be drawn from the reality of the field, since it is from the everyday (everyday activities) that big decisions and dramatic moments of decision and action (senior activities) arrive. |
